I think the key thing isn’t to switch from an individual self focus to a communal one. But instead to abandon any ‘bedrock’ focus as you call it. Sometimes it’s helpful to use the lens of the individual. Especially in terms of sovereignty. As one of the key parts of shifting to collective insight is individuals taking responsibility for their shadows, trauma and shit. But other times the collective focus is vital!
